I know what you're thinking "why is there an orange featuring in a lip post?!" All will come clear, haha.
If you love having pink lips but hate wearing lipstick everyday, you're in luck because today I have some tips for you! The best way to get naturally pink lips is by exfoliating them. Non exfoliated lips tend to appear not so pink because they have dead skin on. Simply do one of these tips once a week and watch them pinken before your very eyes.
The toothbrush technique:
Get a toothbrush with soft bristles (your old toothbrush will do) and wet it a bit. Lightly start rubbing your lips for about 5 minutes. By doing this you will remove dead skin fast. If your lips start getting sore you may be pressing too hard, leave it for a while before exfoliating again or try a different technique.
The Lip Scrub Technique:
Similar to the toothbrush, this too exfoliated your lips. Scrubs are really good for clearing impurities off the lips and making them smooth. Masarge the scrub into your lips for 1-2 minutes and your good to go.
I use the LUSH Bubblegum Scrub. However you can easily make your own by mixing 1 tea spoon of sugar, one tea spoon of freshly squeezed lemon juice and 1 tea spoon of honey. The good thing about LUSH lip scrubs are that they are all natural so if some gets in your mouth it's all good. They are actually really tasty.
The Orange Peel Technique:
Orange peel is very useful when it come to brightening lips. This is definitely not my to-go technique but if your not in public and you're finishing off an orange why not get the peel and white side towards lips rub it in circular motions for a few minutes. Your lips will instantly brighten up, keeping them looking young.
After all this exfoliating to keep the lips healthy it's a must to moisturise them, so just whack on a bit of lip balm and helloo succulent, pink and radiant lips. To get them extra pink I use the Carmex Moisturiser Plus Lip Balm.
