The to-go red lippy. Yep you guessed it, Mac's Ruby Woo.
I took me longer than I would like to admit to get my hands on it. Partly because when I was younger and a little less experienced with makeup I thought red was a no-go zone for redheads. Oh how naive I was.

It's a lovely retro matte red. With winged eyeliner and this on I do almost feel like I've jumped out of the 50's. If you are looking for a cool-toned bold red, look no further. This is the 'classic' red colour. If you are looking for a warm-tone, Russian Red may be more up your street. Although it has been said Ruby Woo suits all completions.
Longevity: 8.5/10
As it's a matte lipstick it stays put longer than it would if it was glossy. A few touch ups during they day after eating, for example, is all you need and it doesn't smudge. However because it's red it can stain your lips and be a pain to get off.
Texture: 8/10
Ruby Woo had a reputation for being one of the driest lipsticks out there, and yes it is pretty drying if not applied properly. If you pucker up your lips before hand with some lip balm the dryness is a thing of the past and it doesn't effect the matte-ness. Goodbye dryness, hello smooth radiant red lips.
It comes with no surprise that Ruby Woo is one of the most raved about lipsticks, appearing in Vogues Top Ten Lipsticks and seen on the likes of Rihanna and Gwen Stefani. Applied right it is by far one of the most amazing lipsticks ever and makes you feel Fabulous with a capital F. Of course this isn't going to be everyones tone but for y'all fellow cool-toned redheads who are oohing and ahhing about this product, bite the bullet and go for it! And anyone else for that matter.
Are you a Ruby Woo or a Russian Red kinda girl?
Until next time
x
