Room For Improvement on a Budget of £0

Hi Everyone! 
Coming back home to London my room was a mess because other people had been using it and empty because all the things that make it pretty were in my student house in Plymouth. Being a student I am also skint. I therefore had the challenge of making my room look 'more me' on a budget of literally nothing. 

My desk space was non existent. It has bags, books, tablets, everything on there apart from a laptop. With a simple clear up it looks ravishing. Added post cards from people to give it a more personal touch.

Simple cut out of flowers and butterflies made by paper around the house.

Some origami cranes made from a free ASOS magazine and hung by white thread.

After a clear up there is more space. I got rid of things that weren't mine and added my personal touch.

Found this beast, guess it wanted to help me take photos. I later showed it who's boss.

To get some green into the room I made this pots. They are jam jars, curry jars that have been used and washed out with a slight bit of paint at the bottom. The red one is not great because my brother took off the sticky tape before it was finished! I'm currently growing the plants from cuttings which were free.

My previous bed covers were a really dull blue and did not bright up the room at all. I found these  funky print pillows in the airing cupboard, apparently they use to be my dads. (I do like loads of pillows at night!)

These buntings were quick and simple. I used fabric that was lying around the house and asked my dad for some string and with a little bit of magic turned out like this.

My bedroom was a mess to begin with and definitely needed a clean, however I think the handmade touches really makes it and it makes me happy to wake up to such a clean bedroom! For all of you who dislike your bedroom atm, give it a little DIY and it will work a treat.
